The United Nations established an International Day of Peace in September. The Peaceoneday organisation (www.peaconeday.org) has built on this and
promotes a global ceasefire day on 21st September each year.
In 2005 The Scotland’s for Peace forum was held very close to this date.
In 2006 Scotland's Long Walk for Peace arrived at the Scottish Parliament two days before the Day of Peace.
We wish to promote events both nationally and locally in Scotland, on or around 21 September, to mark the Peace
