Voted for motion which opposed Trident replacement
Views on nuclear weapons:

Replied to survey in November 2006 and said:

"I oppose any nuclear weapons of mass destruction being located in Scotland and most definitely oppose the upgrading or replacement of the Trident nuclear weapon system.

"The SNP has a proud history of being anti-nuclear and because nuclear weapons breach international humanitarian laws and are immoral, they have no place in a modern day Scotland.

"I want Scotland to be independent and believe that that Scotland should be nuclear free and a force to encourage global peace and reconciliation.  WMD is impotent against any new global terrorist threat.  Instead, because the weapons are located in Scottish waters, it makes us more of a target.

"The moral arguments against WMD are very clear as are the economic ones.  Taxpayers’ money would be much better spent on ensuring we have a good health service or for funding improvements to our education system.

"I fully support the aims of Scotland for Peace."
