Replied to survey in November 2006 saying he was opposed to replacing Trident and said "The replacement of Trident would be immoral because it is a weapon of mass indiscriminate destruction. It would also be a waste of billions of pounds of public money which should be spent on essential things like Health, Education and International development"
"We should be spending more on Health and Education instead of weapons of war and mass destruction" - and said he was opposed to Trident replacement in response to survey in June 2005
