Views on nuclear weapons:

On 14 March 2007 voted against the Government motion which called for the renewal of Trident

Likely to follow Menzies Campbell's lead and vote against the Government's proposal.

Replied to letters from a constituents in February and April 2006 saying

"The decision as to whether there shall be a successor, in any form, to Trident, will depend on cost, treaty obligations, the strategic environment, and threat assessment".
