Views on nuclear weapons:

On 14 March 2007 voted against the Government motion which called for the renewal of Trident and resigned from his position as a PPS. Speech.

The Daily Record and the BBC had reported on 10 March that Mr Devine would he would do this..

Took part in Scotland's Long Walk for Peace in September 2006.

Replied to letters from constituents saying that "I oppose replacing our nuclear weapons when our current capability comes to the end of its life and will be doing all I can to make my views know to the Government".

Signed EDM 2703 calling for a debate before a decision on Trident Replacement, EDM 2702 calling for a Green (consultation) paper and a free vote, and EDMs 892, 1113, 1802 and 1197 calling for a debate.
