Replied to survey in November 2006 saying he was opposed to replacing Trident and said " On Moral, Financial, legal and even defence grounds I believe there is no place for nuclear weapons at all let alone the replacement of Trident at the cost of 76 billion over the next 30 years. It is the duty of all those who believe in peace to oppose Trident. Homes not Bombs"
Replied to survey in June 2005 saying he was opposed to Trident replacement and said "The money could be much better spent in creating a fairer and more just world, which would also be a much more effective way of genuinely securing our safety and wellbeing"
