Views on nuclear weapons:

Replied to survey in November 2006 saying he was opposed to the replacing or upgrading of Trident and said " I will oppose all nuclear weapons on Scottish soil as they are obsence, a huge waste of resources and certainly not a means of providing security"

Replied to survey in June 2005 saying he was opposed to Trident replacement and said 2Replacing Trident may help maintain ‘delusions of Empire’ within the British Establishment, but has no place in a civilised Scotland. We can prevent this waste of resources by removing Scotland from the British State and becoming an independent country"
