Replied to survey in November 2006 saying she is opposed to the upgrading or replacing of Trident and said "Trident - indeed all weapons of indiscriminate mass destruction - is a bloat on the landscape of Scotland and humanity in general. It is no solution to the conflicts the world suffers from, actually it is a problem its self. It must be de-commissioned immediately and never replaced, as then we can use the billions of pounds it costs for peaceful,

In October 2006 she was sent to prison for 2 weeks after refusing to pay a fine imposed for taking part in a sit down protest on Trident outside the Scottish Parliament.
In September 2004 she took part in a sit down protest at the gates of the Faslane nuclear base and was arrested for doing so.
