Replied to survey in November 2006 saying he was opposed to Trident replacement and said:

"For too long Scotland has been unable to remove Trident. We in the SNP want to decide our own non-nuclear defence needs but also set a good example to other countries by scrapping nuclear weapons and banishing them from our soil"

Replied to survey in June 2005 saying he opposed Trident replacement.
