Views on nuclear weapons:

Replied to survey in November 2006 saying She was opposed to the upgrading or replacing of Trident and said " I will continue to support the campaign opposing the upgrading or replacing of Trident. Such a system has no place in the world today. All our efforts need to be directed towards paeceful resolutions of conflicts not creating more tensions. We also must recognise we have a much bigger battle to fight against the impact of climate change which will affect us all regardless of who has the most sohisticated weaponary"

Replied to survey in June 2005 saying she was opposed to replacing Trident and said: "I am pleased to give my full support to Scotland’s for Peace campaign. A strong united voice will show the world that small countries can be a force for good"
