Replied to a letter from Scotland's for Peace saying that she would vote against the replacement of Trident - " I am against all nuclear weapons and the replacement of Trident. The SNP have made it very clear, they do not want nuclear arms on Scottish soil. The total of the replacement is now estimated at £100bn which would feed a lot of people, or support new green energy or increase our health facilities. I am not surprised that by far the biggest post bag issue is Trident, there is very strong views against it, indeed, I have received not one letter or email supporting it. You can be assured of my support." |
